he seminar will feature Umut Berker Sevilmiş, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of Çankaya Municipality, who will discuss sustainability practices and environmental policies in local governments. Ongoing initiatives in the areas of project management, climate resilience, and social participation will also be presented.

The event aims to introduce students to sustainability approaches in the public sector and to contribute to the development of their professional perspectives.

The “Sustainability in Local Governments Seminar,” organized by the Hacettepe University Sustainable Development Community and the Chamber of Environmental Engineers Student Commission, will take place on 13 March 2026, between 11:30 and 13:00, at the Baysal Batman Seminar Hall.

The event is open to all students.
